#3 (pontoum) My Gypsy

My gypsy
Dressed in all black
Runs from place to place
Sipping cold coffee on a grey day

Dressed in all black
She speaks little words
Sipping cold coffee on a grey day
Looking away from me

She speaks little words
Her gaze is nearly empty
She turns away from me
Eyes turned to the ground

Her gaze is nearly empty
Soul has become so hollow
Eyes downcast to the ground
I wish to put her back together

I see her soul is so hollow
Can't she look me in the eye?
I wish I could put her back together
And wipe the tears from her face

Please, just look me in the eye
Let me make you whole again
And wipe the tears from your face
And hold your hand as you cry

I want to make you whole again
And shed your winter sky
Holding your hand while you cry
I'll patch up the emptiness inside

So shed your winter sky
Come alive
I'll fix the emptiness inside
And heal you

Come alive
Stop running from place to place
We'll fix up your emptiness inside
My gypsy

  1. This was just fantastic. I loved how every second line or so was the next parts beginning line. I loved the imagery and I could really see this gypsy that you described and the way she felt. good job!
